These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of rezatoafrica.com (“Website”) operated by Rezato Money Remittance Limited (“Rezato”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a licensed payment service provider authorised by the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) under the National Payment System Act, 2011, and by the Bank of Tanzania (BoT) under the National Payment Systems Act, 2015, operating as RezatoPay in Tanzania.
By accessing or using this Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our AML Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use this Website.
02About Rezato
Rezato is a pan-African payment infrastructure provider offering:
- International money transfer (IMT) settlement services for licensed MTOs
- Cross-border business payment and treasury services for corporates, NGOs, and financial institutions
- Merchant and e-commerce payment gateway services
- Foreign exchange (FX) services
Regulatory status: Rezato is licensed by the CBK for foreign exchange dealing and international money transfer services in Kenya, and by the BoT for IMT and PSP services in Tanzania (trading as RezatoPay). We operate in compliance with all applicable financial services legislation, including AML/CFT requirements.
03Eligibility
By using this Website, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
- If accessing on behalf of an entity, you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms
- Your use complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction

08Anti-Money Laundering and Compliance
As a licensed payment service provider:
- We conduct customer due diligence (KYC) before providing services
- We screen against international sanctions lists and PEP databases
- We report suspicious transactions to relevant financial intelligence units
- We reserve the right to refuse service or freeze accounts where required by law
These obligations arise under the Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2009 (Kenya), the Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2006 (Tanzania), and related regulations.
09Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:

13Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
Governing Law: These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. For RezatoPay services in Tanzania, applicable Tanzanian law applies.
Dispute Resolution:
- Good-faith negotiation within 30 days of written notice
- Mediation under the rules of the Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration (NCIA) or Tanzania Arbitration Centre (TAC)
- Binding arbitration under the Arbitration Act, 1995 (Kenya) or the Arbitration Act, 2020 (Tanzania)
- Nothing prevents either party from seeking interim injunctive relief from competent courts
14Severability
If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary.
15Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and AML Policy, constitute the entire agreement regarding your use of the Website and supersede all prior agreements.
